The character from one of my favorite film is Mary Fiore from the movie "The wedding planner". Mary is in the high end of openness to experience. Mary lives a lonely life with no husband or children. Since she is alone, she never let that ruin her life. She is very imaginative, curious, and open-minded person. She is also creative and is open to new and different things. During the scene where Mary describing the image of the wedding theme to her friend (the bride), Mary describes how beautiful the wedding will look, it made the bride's parent feel very confident that their daughter's wedding will look spectacular.
People with openness to experience have a high level of openness when it comes to career. Mary is also a high level of conscientiousness because she likes to control and regulate what she does. Evidently, planning and organizing is a pattern that she performs in her daily routine. She has a creative mind, flexible attitude and extremely organized which lead her to become successful in her career. She knows exactly what to say to her customer to make them feel secure and trust her. In the movie, there were many scenes that show that Mary is creative. There was a situation where a bride's maid was having trouble with her dress. She was so frustrated; she didn't know what to do. Then Mary came along and clips a pin to her dress to hold them together. The girl was so surprise it was such an easy fix.
Mary is also open to different thing and she is not afraid to venture on. Towards the end of the movie, you can see that Mary decided to go on her own way in business. Since she's been working for one of the most successful company for a long time, she feels that her skills are good enough to go her own way. She feels confident about herself and that she is now ready to take the challenge. Since Mary is in a high level of openness to experience and conscientiousness, she is considered responsible and reliable enough to achieve her goal.
