Cleopatra VII Daughter Of The Nile

The story Cleopatra VII written by Kristiana Gregory, is the story of a

13 year old egyptian princess. Her whole family was wanting to be

pharoah, and they would even kill to get the title. Cleopatra's story is

all about trying to run away and hide from her selfish sisters so that

she would be the only survivor, so she would be Queen of the Nile.

One theme that you can get from this book is be careful of who you

choose as friends. Because you might be the one getting stabbed in

the back. In this book this actually happens. Even though you think

your family members love you sometimes they will just come back

around and turn against you. All through out the book she had to rely

on her friends because her friends were there for her and then her

family turned against her.

In the book there are several examples of the theme. For

example her sister Tryphaena tried to kill her but her servant/ friend

Neva was always there for her and never turned against her.

Another one is when Cleopatra's dad eft her, her firend Olympus was

always trying to help her get away from her family and get safe.

This book goes to show that even though a lot of people have families

that love them some dont and even if your the person or the person's

friend it is always good to have friends and people you can rely on.

So just to let you know if you need someone to talk to you can

almost always go talk to your friends.

I really liked this book i though it was a great book and it shows me

how
