The cold war changed the military's outlook on how war could be fought. By having, other countries along with the United States develop nuclear bombs that can instantly destroy a country. This put fear in Americans and others because at any moment lives could be taken. Military leaders have had to make better decisions on uses weapons of massive destruction. America was focused on redeveloping Europe's military defenses but Asia was not a top priority while continuing the war in Korea. The changes that went into effect because of the Cold War were interacting with communist parties, trying to see who was involved, and trying to develop allies. Greece and Turkey received aid from America and began a bond. All of these things changed during and after the war. These things changed for America but things that changed for Americans returning soldiers wanted to enter back into the workforce and pushed women and minorities back into the old practices of live. Women began staying home again and minorities began taking jobs that were not suitable pay. Black veterans began to push for more civil rights and wanted to devolve a better life in America for themselves. Another thing that changed for the soldiers returning home was a better education. The GI Bill was set into effect and they were able to return to school and get a better paying job that changed the future of Americans. The Cold war changed the future and positive and negatives came from this war.
