Subject: College Students and Money Saving Issues
I have attached my completion report for my study on college students and their money saving issues. I have researched the issues and solutions described in my proposal of Saturday, March 24, 2012: Implementing an entry-level course for incoming freshman to guide and teach them about college students and money saving issues.
First I investigated the extent of the issue by researching problems about the different types of issues colleges students have with managing their money. A lot of students agree with me that this is a big topic that should be added to our curriculum. Then I identified the steps and solutions for addressing this problem. I noticed that there has not been a good emphasis placed upon college students about money management issues and how to save. Therefore I have decided to research and focus on these issues and solutions to how we can help better the future of incoming freshman at Alfred State College.
Based on the information I gathered from my research and reviewed, I recommend implementing an entry level course for new incoming freshman that should be required for business students to take and optional but encouraged to other students who might also be interested in taking this course. I recommend that the business department try this program in which the curriculum would offer this type of course in which the students would be mentored about this issue and their future.
I appreciate the opportunity to research options that could help continue the improvement of our Alfred State College Graduates. I look forward to working with you about my idea in the future. If you have any questions or comments, please contact me
