o Complete various promotional tasks, such as printing and distributing posters around your residence, handing out flyers to classmates, running booths, etc.

* Calculating field research for demographic purposes within your residence

o Can include: which classes are students enrolled in, class capacity, students' interest in attending review sessions, what new courses we should consider

o This is key to the success of a Residence Representative because you have the most direct communication with fellow first-year students

* Building awareness within the Laurier student body by organizing various campaigns throughout the year

* Hosting trip information sessions for interested students, replying to trip-specific

* Managing and coordinating various awareness campaigns throughout the year

o On-campus/off-campus fundraising events (ie. holding informational booths) to either further educate the public about poverty or to raise money for trip expenses

* Communicating with external NGO's and field organizations to prepare all the necessary logistics for the trip

o Insurance, group travel arrangements, trip itinerary, accommodations, etc.

* Working closely with VP of Finance for all matters pertaining to finance, including collecting trip participant fees and properly tracking payments

* Inquiries and sending regular updates to participants, directing administrative requirements from National SOS

* Recruiting trip participants, and appropriately selecting a trip leader

* Attending weekly meetings with Chapter Co-Presidents and all Vice Presidents

o Provide updates on all progresses with annual outreach trip and fundraising events

* Encouraging team members to attend SOS related events (ie. socials, intramurals, fundraising campaigns, charity events, etc.)
