Cultural Event
New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival 2009, and experience I will never forget. All types of music such as Jazz, R and B, Blues, Cajun, Zydeco, Latin, African drumming, and dance. The lectures on the cultural connections between New Orleans, Brazil and the roles of Creoles in the development of early Jazz, and Jazz funeral traditions. The food was awesome alligator, fish, shrimp, cakes, pies, and any kind of Creole food. The festival was indeed an experience because it provided an array of cultural experience. The most interesting was the development of early Jazz and Jazz funeral tradition. I had the opportunity to experience the jazz funeral; they walk from the funeral home to the cemetery with a brass band playing and people dancing with umbrellas. I found that New Orleans is about culture the city incorporates the culture in everything that they do.
