Designing a Restaurant
Interior design plays a big role in getting customers for restaurants. People want to eat in a pleasant atmosphere that is leisure. I want a unique dining room that will differentiate you from all the ordinary restaurants. First of all I would start off with colors that increase people's appetite. It is amazing at how much color has to do with a person's appetite. Some colors draw people towards food while others can cause them to feel less hungry. I would paint the walls a warm beige color that gives you a comfortable feeling and a sense of upper class. I would have red flowers as a centerpiece because the color red raises a person's blood pressure, heart rate, and causes hunger to be more prevalent. When you walk into the dining area there will be peaceful piano melody playing classical music like light falling rain in the background that instantly calms you. As you walk into the dining area the scent of fresh bread sticks would hit your nose and make your stomach rumble. I would make the tables evenly spaced out for a peaceful environment and allow you to have a sense of privacy when you're making conversation. There will also be small fireplaces placed around the restaurant to keep the temperature warm and make you feel like you're at home.
