Racial profiling, stereotyping, and prejudice are widely depicted in the society we live in today. Some Non- Whites believe that a majority of the Caucasian population is filled with racism towards every race especially, black Americans. While some whites believe they are victims of prejudice and stereotyping. What is realized is that prejudice ideals are usually formed by the unknown information about every culture and race.

The movie Crash explores the effects of racism in a community in Los Angeles, that involve police officers and many respected people in the community. It also involves many citizens of the community especially some who like using their race as an excuse to get themselves involved in crime. In this movie what is seen is how racism can lead to many violent acts of behavior, and how people stick by their good morals to stop racial profiling in a more modern day and age.

This movie hit home on a lot of issues I have faced in life due to me being African American and the fact that my parents are from a foreign country, Nigeria. Crash, basically showed the mind set of how some people behave now days in this society. When 9/11 happened many Middle Easterners, were profiled racially and made to feel as if all middle easterners were terrorist filled with hate for America. Many American

In recent news, Trayvon Martin is an example of some things that took in the movie "Crash". In "Crash", there was a scene where a police officer and a young black man were sitting in the car and the white police officer shoots the black man when he starts reaching into his pocket for something. The police officer assumes it is a gun and feels threatened and shoots the man killing him because of his stereotypical views of African-Americans.

This movie showed the psychological phenomena's of group processes, aggression and prejudice. Aggression is developed through an emotional or an aggressive situation, aggression can be usually emotional and instrumental, it also happens when human are dehumanized they are longer seen as humans but more as animals. Aggression develops culturally as well, in the movie the black people who committed crimes acted out in aggression because of the injustices they felt they face as "black" individuals. It provoked their aggression, in Social psychology Lorenz believes that aggression secures an advantage in the struggle to survive, I believe in this movie the black people aggressive help them survive in a world they thought did not believe in them anyways.

Sometimes when one is tired of the injustices happening in their society, it causes a chain effect of violence in the community, aggression is increased when people who are suppose to protect such as the police have stereotypical and unjust about the people they are serving it leaves doors open to brutal beatings and unfair trials and even false testimonies due to a stereotype.
