Early Childhood Education

Most people think early childhood education,that is best education for 3-5 years old. Early childhood education programs include any type of educational program that teaches children some basis knowledge in the preschool years. So most people put their children in preschool, and want their child to learn as much as possible, and as early as possible. The parents wants their children have a good future. However, I think early childhood education actually harms children. "The pressure that parents put on children to learn beyond their development level has created physical and emotional problems in some children" (GULLI SEPT 11th).
Early childhood education can produce significant gains in children's knowledge and development. It many children to avoiding poor choices later in life, such as dropping out of school. The Child's future is most important to his or her family. Most people think early childhood education is best for their child's future. Parents spend a lot of money on their children. They want their children can have a good future and find a successful job. However, I think early childhood education is not good for children's development. Most people believe that it is the" sooner the better" for children to learn, and as a result, parents put their children in to learning facilities or child care even though their children are too young to learn and retain knowledge. Children have schedules that are very full. Everyday they need go to school and on the weekend they need study other things, such as piano. These children are very busy every day, and they don't have time to do other things. Such as play freely with other children. They do not know how to make friends with other children, and may become eccentric and unsociable. It is not good for children's future. Nobody wants their children to turn out like that.
Some people think through the early childhood education can help children discover which activities they like. Then, parents can know what their child should focus on studying. It is good for developing a child's hobbies. On the other hand, "But now there is a growing collection of evidence that suggests just the opposite: that early childhood education actually harms children" (GULLI SEPT. 11th). This author's experience is one case in point. From age three, all I can remember about my childhood is I was sent to school at 7am and taken back home at 5pm everyday. I cannot even remember the time I spent with my parents, because it was so brief. I am not the only one who has had such an experience. It is a common phenomenon in China, and what toddlers are being required to learn at the present time is increasing more and more. The pressure of learn is to give children too early.
