Invitation: Emeritus Advisor of Hong Kong International Entrepreneurs Festival 2016

Responding to the call from the Policy of “developing the new engine of entrepreneurship and innovation by the general public”, Hong Kong International Entrepreneurs Festival (“HKIEF”) utilizes the unique platform of Hong Kong to build the most authoritative and influential event, with the theme of international entrepreneurship and innovation. The second HKIEF is going to be held in December 2016. The aim of the event is to widely connect and integrate resources on entrepreneurship and innovation from all over the world, as well as promoting the continuing exchanges and cooperation between Hong Kong, mainland China, and the world.

The Education Bureau has been consistently putting focus on the education development and the employment situation of youth in Hong Kong. The rapid economic growth in recent years has led to a great demand for technology professionals. It is time for Hong Kong to grasp the opportunity to nurture a new generation of innovative and creative talents by utilizing its geographical and technological advantage. We sincerely invite you to be the Emeritus Advisor of HKIEF 2016, and we would be very glad if you could be the officiating guest of our opening ceremony. We would also like to take this opportunity to invite the Education Bureau to help arranging local secondary school students to take part in HKIEF 2016. Through attending different activities, our youth could know more about the Chinese economy, especially the development of the IT industry, so to stimulate their entrepreneurship spirit. This precious opportunity allows the communication and cooperation between entrepreneurial teams from Hong Kong, mainland and all over the world, creating new opportunities and investments for Hong Kong and China's economic transformation.

The first HKIEF was held in 2015. Co-organized by China Internet Development Foundation, Hong Kong Information Technology Joint Council, Internet Professional Association and Brightway Hong Kong, HKIEF has reached huge success and caught wide attention and compliments under the support of different organizations and sectors. Building on the success of the first HKIEF and the strong support of the Government of HKSAR, State Internet Information Office and the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in HKSAR, HKIEF 2016 presents an opening ceremony, summits, project road shows, cocktail parties and other enrichment activities, so to attract well-known institutional investors, industry leaders and entrepreneurs to take part in the events.
