A person needs to achieve certain goals in one's life before you can call them successful. Success is to achieve goals, you have set. I have set certain goals I would like to achieve in my lifetime. Some of these goals are personal while others are professional. My professional goals in life are to find a good job that makes me happy, get a good education, find a job that makes enough money for me to support my family, and help people. So since to achieve my goal I need to study well and focus on my studies to get good grades and have something to achieve. At first I was wondering how college life is. My first thought was that I cannot pass all  my subjects and  cannot overcome terror teahers. But those were just assumption/imaginations of mine. I thought my first step in college life I could not achieve something that would make my parents happy and proud.

My achievement in this school St. Paul University Dumaguete was this. To start, I was in the first year college  when 6:00 am in the morning I already woke up for a 7:00 am class in order for me not to late. I was so attentive to all my subjects, school works and especially in my projects. I always stayed up late to study for the quizzes and exams and to make my school works and projects in order for me to get good grades, not to pass late and to avoid from deduction. After the semester, well hardworks and sleepless night was paid of, I got good grades. I passed all my subjects. I feel happy and it makes me more motivated. My other achievement when I was first year college when I completed the CWTS Training and was given the certificate. It was heart melting and worth it because I made it to the last, the tiring days was all paid of.

In my 2nd year life it was challenging because of our subject hot and cold kitchen, we have to cook our own main dish every laboratory time as part of the subject. And then here comes the day that we need to cook or prepare our own dish individually for final requirements and so forth then here comes already the actual day, it makes me more anxious because I always think I may not be succeed to my dish that I choose and then when Mrs. Fortu said that it was good and tasty, a big YES! and a big smile drawn to my face ☺. It was success. I got 100 for my score, another hardwork was paid off. Another achievement also when I was a 2nd year college is our subject Bar management then as a part of the final requirements of the subject we organized an event inside the campus which is the “Cocktail party” our first experience in organizing an event. As an HRM students we are the one who cook the foods. We are the one who prepared the venue and serve the drinks. The day was kinda tiring yet we just enjoy ourselves in the event. Many lessons was learned after the event. We learned some techniques on how to decorate perfectly a venue, we learned how to budget our money through the materials that will be needed on the event, we learned how to do costing, we learned how to divide/delegate the task in order for us to finish the activities immediately, and we learned how to mixed our own drinks. Yes, it was tiring but at the end it was successful and I considered it as an achievement of myself because I learned many things and it helps me develop more my skills.
