Mark Zuckerberg is a modern day genius and, we believe, is the right person to lead Facebook into the next phase of its development. It is Zuckerberg who will provide the vision which will guide Facebook into the future.

Mark exhibits the entrepreneurial trait of a charismatic leader. He cares about his employees and motivates them. He is not afraid to delegate. He employs the right people to undertake the tasks that, he feels, he is unable to do or has little confidence in doing. This shows that he is good at delegating the right jobs to the right people at the right time.

Zuckerberg is a very innovative person. This allows Facebook to update and reinvent itself. New applications are continuously uploaded onto the World Wide Web. Since childhood he was programming and working extensively with computers. This challenging environment helped his innovative and creative talents to blossom. For the firm to survive and grow into the future, it needs Zuckerberg. As CEO, his innovativeness will play a major role in the future direction of the firm. His ideas will be at the core Facebook's strategic direction and his hand-picked senior management team will ensure successfully implementation.

Mark is a very creative person. He is able to see and understand peoples' needs and what they are looking for from Facebook - "constantly thinking about what users would want and how things should work"(pg 3). This is shown in the case study where, in the beginning, Facebook had very little applications, and, today has a diversified range of applications - something to suit everyone.

Mark has so much self-belief that whatever he puts his mind to he can achieve. Facebook will need to take advantage of this trait into the future. His self-belief led him to add to an already good idea and turn it into a phenomenon. Even though no-one doubted his ability to create programmes, we think, that he expressed his belief in himself when he overcame the many obstacles that were put in his way to make Facebook the success that it is today.
