Although facebook does have an option of how much sharing a person want to do, it's still all very public. Cretin people will choose share everything about them even including phone number and other personal information that should not be put on facebook. On the other hand there are people who will share very little.

Facebook has given the chance to make online friends who have a lot in common with someone almost like finding the other half of you. Facebook gives the ability to keep in touch with old friends as well those who don't live close. In addition a person can reconnect with family, coworkers and colleagues. Facebook gives the option to post videos and photos on other people profiles and your own profile. A person can update their status as many times as they want. That way it's easy to share information with everyone. People can create groups as well as join them. By creating groups and joining them it allows people to express themselves and meet other people that have common interests. With other few million people on facebook its easy to connect with other people and add them to friends list.
