Tricity Health Center is in Fremont California. This clinic manages patients with chronic illness, HIV/AIDS, behavioral issues, prenatal care, smoking cessation, and weight management. Main target of this clinic is teen population. It is in middle of the city so it is easily accessible to all age groups. Like every organization Tricity clinic marketing is mostly on website, TV and Radio.
Four P's of Tricity: Marketing four P's are tools used by companies to satisfy the consumers. These tools are also called market mix. It works as offering from the company to the consumers. The term four P's was introduced by E. Jerome McCarthy the marketer in 1960, since then the marketers are using this term and strategy. These four P's are
* Product
* Price
* Place
* Promotion
Product: it is the item that the company is selling to consumer based upon his need or demand. It is a tangible item like a vehicle, furniture, kitchen aid, toilet supplies, etc. It can also be described as intangible service for example health care insurance, hospital, hotel industries, media, etc. In this organization product is the services described as intangible. Health care supplies covered by insurance. So people can stay healthy and get rid of the issues or sickness. The product is the care and services provided based upon patients or clients needs and demand. If patient comes with chronic pain issues it is taken care by providing healthcare services covered by insurance company. If patients come with behavior issues they can be referred to therapist and psychologist for counseling. Main focus is young adults with behavior issues, teen pregnancies, and smoking habits. Services for chronic conditions like asthma, diabetes, and weight managements are also provided.
Price: price is the money customer pay for the product or the service. Price plays the large role in buying product. Most of the people make their choices based upon price. People compare prices and brands to buy best for them. In Tricity Clinic most of the customers are with insurance. Tricity gets paid by insurance companies. They have affordable co payments, so the average income families can afford the care.
Place: Tricity is located in the easily accessible place for customers. There are very few clinics around this location. Clinic's marketing is done by flyers, logos in the mall, pharmacies, and local farmer's market booths.
Promotion: Clinic offers free checkups low income groups, they have financial ad program for people with no insurance. Public relation officers advertise it to insurance companies to get members. The advertisement is done by TV, Radio, local news paper, booths in farmer's market. Providing free promotional health checkups, transportation on affordable rates for elderly people for dialysis services.
Importance of the four P's for the organization is to get more customers. Provide affordable services to target group. Promote the organization. Keep the community aware of services for their good health. Organization can sell their product according the need and demand of target group.
The organization cannot provide all the services to patients on their own; they have partners in healthcare to make the organization run better. Organization builds healthy relationship with their partners to promote the health plans. Tricity clinic provide care to Medicare and Medical patients also they have 0% co pay for doctors visit. Medicare pays clinic for Special need patients and low income. Healthy kids advantage program provide well checks for kids of low income families. Tricity and Partnership of healthcare plan of California works together to provide services to low income. PHC can take away this advantage at any time and can refuse to renew the contract. To keep this relationship Tricity provides care according to standards of California.
