Heaven on Earth

It is said that everyone has their own little slice of Heaven on Earth. The place you close your eyes and instantly be transported too, no matter where you are. I would have to say my Haven on Earth is Virginia Beach. From the moment I arrive at my hotel, to long walk at sunset. I can feel the Ocean breeze on my skin and taste the salt in the air. It an amazing place that lets all my cares fade away; like the words left from a sky write.

I see my exit sign on the enter state and you put my turn signal on, as I pull up to hotel I stop to let a family cross the street with their towels and lawn chairs and big smiles on their face. The feeling of pure joy is in the air. The first place I go is a Salt Water taffy store next door to my hotel. As I walk in I can smell the candy in the air and see a man pulling fresh taffy. I can hardly wait as the cashier hands me the order and I open the first piece, I can almost taste the sweet salty candy in my mouth.

At sunset I love to take long walks down the beach. With the wind blowing throw my hair and the white sand moving under my feet, as the waves crash onto the beach you can see the crib left behind. It's a truly magical place. The feeling of having no cares in the world is like no other. I love to stop and just look at the water; you can't help but feel so small, standing at the edge of our country and knowing that on the other side of the water is another country I have yet to explore.

As dawn brakes over the ocean, you see children running down the beach and picking up treasures; little gifts the ocean has left for them over night. They are so happy, that the squall with delight. I like to go for a bike ride down the boardwalk after I have had my breakfast. It's the perfect time to fell the sun on your skin. When my bike ride ends it time for a picnic on the beach with my friends, they always bring a bottle of wine and some of the best food you have ever eaten; it's a true party for my taste buds.

Unfortunately I can't live in the beach for ever so I must pack my bags and start the six hour drive home, but I know that anytime I'm upset, stressed or just need a break I can close my eyes and instantly be transported back to my heaven on Earth, what out ever having to leave home.
