Hong Thai Travel Services Limited was established in 1966 with a humble beginning, at that time they provided only inbound services and operated business of tickets management. In 1977, Hong Thai Travel provided the sections of the Southeast Asia Tour; this was a milestone of this company. In 1985, Hong Thai Travel set up a branch in Singapore. A branch has also been set up in Shenzhen in 1992.
Before 2002, the headquarters of the company is located in Lai Chi Kok. Since 2002, the company has operated out of its headquarters to 95 Queensway, Hong Kong Island, Hong Kong.
In 2003, Hong Kong's tourism industry faced an unprecedented challenge due to "SARS", Hong Thai Travel attempted to provide different local trips to fascinate people. It seems that it had a great result as reflected by the public.
Since 2005, Hong Thai Travel pioneered "Your Own Tour flexible and independent groups(YO2)", which has been launched from the initial total of 13 destinations in 22 types of tour increase to 26 destinations of 86 types of section tours. Hong Thai Travel will continue to add more destinations, hotel and tour route options to meet different customer needs.
Today, it has been developing into a large travel agency having more than a thousand staff. It becomes a reputable and recognized travel agency in the country and is a popular household brand. Moreover, this company is considered as the largest travel agency having around 30 branches all throughout Hong Kong, the New Territories, Kowloon, Shenzhen, Macau, Guangzhou and Singapore.
Since 1986, Hong Thai Travel has been the sponsor of Miss Hong Kong. On the other hand, it has invited 30 candidates who have great level result on Hong Kong Advanced Level and Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination, as well as the needy and outstanding students, free to have an overseas study tour and exchange since 2002.
Hong Thai Travel aims to become the customers' most favorite travel agent brand. And the mission of the company is to provide its customers diverse, high quality travel products and services with a sincere, innovative, changeable attitude.
