Title: A Comparative study of competition (TOILET SOAP) in "SWD" channel with Superia soap in Ranchi.

Introduction

The main aim of this research study is to analyze the competition of Superia Soaps and shampoo in wholesale market in Ranchi. Through this research, we want to measure the strategies and offers adopted by the competitors of Superia soap and shampoo. Furthermore, we want to get an idea about the comparative visibility of superia shampoo in the wholesale counters and the availability of superia flow wrap soap.

Objective

* To find out the competition of toilet soap market in Rs 10 segment.

* To find out the competition of toilet soap market in Rs 5 segment.

* To find out the classification of outlets by the market leader.

* To understand the market availability of Superia flow wrap soap.

* To find out the comparative visibility of Superia shampoo in wholesale market.

* To study the strategies and offers adopted by competitors of Superia soaps and shampoo.

Methodology

Research design:

The data used in this project would be Primary in nature and research design used in this project will entail both the descriptive and exploratory research design. .

Sampling Method:

The research will use systematic random sampling method to collect information from the respondents.

Sample unit:

There will be two part of sampling unit: (a) Wholesalers (Class A) (b) Stockiest (Class B)

Sample size:

As per the above classification, the sampling size would be as follows;

Class A 75-80

Class B 15-20

Data collection tools:

Data collection will be done using questionnaires, interviews, and other means if required.

Analysis

The study will be analyzed using different statistical techniques. For this project we will use measures of central tendency, measures of dispersion, regression, and, correlation. Other tools may also be used as and when required.
