How is it possible to distinguish learned from instinctual behaviors such as imprinting etiquette, and suckling in mammals?
It is possible to distinguish learned from instinctual behaviors such as imprinting etiquette, and suckling in mammals from your genes. When you look at your genome sequence you can distinguish the certain allele letters that are associated with all traits that have linked with genes, such as: diseases, intelligence, beauty, neuroticism, risk-taking, shyness, suckling, and many numerous more traits. If you have your genome sequenced you can see the traits that have been hereditarily passed onto you by your parents, that result in instinctual behaviors, as for traits that don't appear on your genome, are considered learned behaviors. Heredity takes a big part in the make-up of genetics, as your parents traits combined together through mating, that result in whether you get passed on the certain trait or not, all depend on if the alleles are recessive or dominant, or that you are male or female matters too. To have your genome sequenced you can see the spellings of what traits were passed on to you hereditarily, to distinguish learned from instinctual behaviors. If you don't have the ability to be able to have your genome sequenced; which can cost up to thousands of dollars, you can look up which kinds of traits are hereditary and see if either of your parents express these traits, and therefore you can guess on which behaviors are learned and instinctual. Some traits such as: being right handed or left handed, being able to roll your tongue or not, having a widow's peak, the shape of your nose, eye color, the shapes of leaves, and the color of your fur, are some examples of traits that are inherited; as liking a certain show, genre of music, talking the way you talk, and reacting in the way you do to certain things, are examples of learned behaviors. With the information provided above, you can learn to distinguish between learned and instinctual behaviors.
