MAC Vs. PC
When it comes to purchasing a computer you have to do your research. I like to read about the pros and cons when it comes purchasing any expensive product. I just look for great feedback and all I want is a great product. I have never owned an apple product, I am all about PC only because I have never owned or really worked on apple products. I feel apple products are somewhat difficult to use since it is completely different from a PC especially since I have never really worked on one. I as a student right now I wish to purchase an apple laptop because they look like amazing products and I hear amazing information about it and there are so many pros!
PC is still dominating the market even though Apple created the IPod and Ipad because I feel the price difference. Apple has proclaimed for a long time that we are now in a post-PC era, in which people would no longer need traditional PCs and instead engage themselves with the digital world through Iphones and iPads. This theory seems to have gained strength as indicated by a recent report from Canalys. As stated in an article I've read, " The PC market, as termed by Canalys, not only includes the traditional desktops and laptops, but also the tablet PCs. Tablets helped PC market reach 120 million units in Q4 2011, a growth of 16% over Q4 2010. Apple shipped over 15 million iPads in Q4 2011, which helped it increase its share to 17% of the total PC market. If we exclude the tablets from the equation, the PC market actually experienced a decline of 0.4%." Where others focus on one aspect of the equation, Apple focuses on the entire product, and it shows.
For quite some time, PC fans enjoyed the work of buying their own parts and building their own tower systems. At the same time, PC makers were building standard hardware for standard applications. They’ve been pioneering not only the features of standard operating systems and computer systems, but simultaneously reinventing the design standards as well. As a result, we have the iMac, new Mac book Air, and who could forget, the amazing Iphones which is what I just switched to and I love it. Apple was voted the overall winner of the 2012 CMO Survey Award for Marketing Excellence yet again. Apple has been selected as the winner or co-winner for five consecutive years by the sample of top marketers. Apple has three principles which is how Apple keeps their customers and gain much more. Empathy 'We will truly understand their customer needs better than any other company", Focus " In order to do a good job of the things we decide to do, we must eliminate all of the unimportant opportunities" lastly, Impute " People DO judge a book by its cover. We may have the best product, the highest quality, the most useful software, etc." Apple has used these principles to become the world’s most valuable company and one of world’s most valuable brands.
