Mba Goal

My technical prowess was appreciated by Intergraph Consulting Private Limited and I had a steep career growth in a short span. While I have excelled in my work, I have also explored my capabilities as a leader and begun to understand the value of MBA in my career. Working in my present role I would require the experience of years to steer my organization. However, an education in business administration can help me take a jump start and move towards achievement of my eventual ambition of leading an organization.

My immediate goal post-MBA is to gain a managerial role (IT Projects) with core technology corporation such as Microsoft. This will enable me to lead the development of cutting computer applications/products for achieving a range of business goals-be it competitive advantage or cost savings or productivity gains. I will also be able to interact with clients to understand their specific business needs and adapt available technologies to develop software solutions. My longterm goal(5-7 years post MBA)is to grow to a Vice President/CEO role with a technology corporation and develop innovative solutions for clients across various industries and geographies.I am aware that my zest and enterprise alone are not sufficient and the choice of HEC as my business school is influenced by my career objectives. Most of my experience has been in product engineering and I need a better insight of strategic management, risk analysis, financial management and marketing techniques which will make me an effective professional.The HEC MBA emerges as a natural choice to me because of the world-class faculty, diverse student community and global curriculum. The vibrant peer group at HEC will help me learn about business in different countries of the world .The huge alumni base will help me develop networks crucial to achieve my career goals. One of my motives is to gain international experience and to take advantage of the cutting-edge educational developments that were taking place at HEC. HEC’s centralized location within Europe and close proximity to Paris provided an ideal setting at the intersection of both international business and culture. I'll join the General management and leadership club and Industry Club to gain tools, techniques and resources for leadership development that aid accelerated career growth in large organizations and also will expand my professional network and obtain exposure to recruiters.Leadership Development courses such as CEO series,MBA tournament will provide me an excellent opportunity to exercise and enhance my leadership and teamwork skills outside of the classroom.HEC career workshops will help me gain tools necessary to optimize my career strategy. In addition, I am interested to be a part of HEC Career Management Centre activities which will hone my job searching abilities and help me prepare for the diverse business opportunities.
