1. Summary:

According the article “Mediation as an benefit employee”, by Erin Johnston, she analyzed that the company/employers should know how to solve problems between employees with their co-workers in work place. Mediation is a form of settlement of disputes. A person who stand in the middle to work with all stakeholders in the conflict, help them figure out and solve problems called mediator.

In addition, employee mediation will make EAP grow because the employee can be resolve the conflict by themselves or another employee’s help and don’t need to interfere of supervisors or manager. “This participation mitigates any negative impact at work. In addition, mediation is a far less expensive and drawn out process than litigation.” (Erin.). Also, Erin gives us a model of an employee mediation benefit and the way to make it effective.

On the other hands, fees and mediator are disadvantage factors of mediation benefit.

In conclusion, mediation is the good benefit for employee and it will make employee feel comfortable and safety at workplace, “adding a real means to resolve the conflicts, that so often are the root of personal stress, would greatly impact the effectiveness of existing health and wellness benefits.” (Erin)

2. Critical Evaluation:

In my opinion, this article is useful for company and employers. This article mentioned about mediation as a benefit employee at their workplace.

And as we know, workplace is where usually has conflict of employees and it’s better when mediator who stands in the middle solved those problems because it will make employees comfortable and not feel stress at work place.

In conclusion, I would like to recommend this article to other HR professional because it’s a good thing and good way to help them manage their employees.

According the article “Safety and Health” by The Coca- Cola Company, the safety of employees is the important factor that is effect to development and successful of their operation and the public. The Coca- Cola Company said that a basic human right of employees were a health and safe workplace.

The policies, standards and requirements for managing safety, environment and quality of The Coca- Cola Company’s operations determined by KORE. That is the important thing that KORE determined to give the company instruction about how to make working environment safety for their staff, and also, the company control the observance of certain activities of production under the laws and company occupational safety and health requirements. The Coca- Cola Company also focuses on training and offer considerable safety training for our associates using the training requirements specified in KORE as a global basis. In addition, the Coca- Cola Company worked with their partner to make sure that their employees and contract workers get health and safety risks are lowest.
