Nowadays there is a lot of technology.
to help out law enforcement.
Some of the most popular techniques
and technology are listed below.
For auto releated crimes the police
have license plate recognition
cameras to run the numbers againt
the missing ones to see if they get any
hits. Another technique is Shoe
Printing. They compare the shoes and
size of the feet with the shoe prints
that they find at the scene of the
crime. Making "The Perfect Crime"
something that only happens in
movies and books.
A commen technique for gun releated crimes is Shot Spotting.
Shot Spotting is something that picks
up sound waves of a muzzle100 blast to
narrow down the exact coordinates and
forwarding the information to 911
centers. Detectives and Crime Scene
Investigators use 3-D technique to
"redo" the crime scene, to see exactley
what had happened. They can now see
where the bullet should have been and
thats helping out the forscenic people
see what happened.
Everyone loves a good car chase.
Well that just got a whole shorter for some people because cars are now putting OnStar in their cars.
A cop can ask an OnStar operator to
slow down the car that they are in
pursuit to 5 miles an100 hour so they are
alot easier to catch.Criminal Justice is
the study of domestic and international
structures, functions, behaviors, and
public policies related to the getting,
prosecuting, sentencing, and putting the offender in jail.
Your Criminal Justice degree will
prepare you for a job in the Criminal
justice feild, its not a degree that
involves specific job training, instead
its the study of how justice is
distributed in our goverment system
and internationaly.
