News and Views Final

        It was a fantastic season for the PIRATE swim team! We ended with a 2-4 dual meet record which really helped prepare the team for the Hub Lakes Championship Meet. At Championships, the team ended up 5th out of 7 lakes, and was close behind Rock Ridge Lake for 4th place. If a few more swims had gone our way, we definitely could have been 4th; but even so, coming as close as we did was quite an accomplishment. In fact, Chris Baresh from Rainbow Lakes won the Bob Williams award, which is a sportsmanship and teammate award given to the best male summer swimmer in Hub Lakes. Chris is a role model for all of the younger PIRATE swimmers, and it was great to see his efforts and virtues be recognized! It truly was an amazing way to top off a fantastic season, and I was so proud of how fast everyone swam and the improvement that I saw from every single swimmer across the board. Thank you to all of the swimmers and parents for everything they have done this season, and for making my job as Head Coach so enjoyable and memorable! I have been a part of the Lake Parsippany Swim Team for 15 years now, and this was truly one of my favorite years on the team! There is a great young energy that I can see growing, and I cannot wait to see where this team goes in the future!
