Many people in the United States believe that if it were not for fast food restaurants, there wouldn't be overweight people. People have even sued McDonald's for their weight problem. While fast food may be one of the contributors to the obesity epidemic, it surely doesn't stand alone. There are many more reasons including problems within the school systems, peer pressure, education, busy schedules, financial status, and even where a person lives.
The text in this research paper will not only show that fast foods are to be blamed but so are our schools and society. We as the parents to our children have to push pop and other junk food out of our school and demand that schools not take out physical education out of our schools.
I decided to do this paper because it upsetted me, when I heard a child in Hoke County, North Carolina got her homemade lunch made with turkey and cheese sandwich, a banana, apple juice and potato chips taken away and replaced with school cafeteria food( http://fox8.com/2012/02/15/school-deems-childs-lunch-unhealthy-replaced-with-chicken-nuggets/). The only thing that was not nutritious in her lunch is the chips, but who cares, every once in awhile it won't hurt you to eat a bag of chips, so why would school officials replace her entire lunch with processed chicken nuggets, when chicken nuggets is not as nutritious as some may think they are?.
You will see that in my paper I prove that fast foods are not the only ones to be blamed and just because a fast food place offers toys with their children meals doesn't mean that they are to only be blamed either, because as a parent you can choice to take your child to McDonald's or you can choice to make them a homemade meal or snack, it's your choice as the parent.
