Well here it is. The end of the road.

Hi again old friend. It's been a while, but I never forgot about you. This is where it all started and this is where it should all end, well, for me at least. At least for now.

In my little lull between careers, I learned a lot about blogging, running your own website, and making money online. I also learned quite a bit about community building. After three months of working on and managing a system that caters to a niche community, I've come to realize a few things. I'd like to share them. Hopefully it will be enriching to anyone else looking into making a little extra income online.

1. Make sure you work on something you really enjoy

Find a hobby that you're already doing, or find a new hobby that you really want to commit to. If you're passionate about it people will follow you.

If you love it, it makes it seems less like work. If you don't love it, you just simply won't dedicate the amount of time it takes to make something awesome. Worse, you'll probably give up once it's no longer interesting.

Make sure you're not just in it for the money. If you are, and you don't see the income rolling in within a few months, you're likely to give up. Time equals money, right? So with more time, you will obtain more money, especially if you're passionate about it.
