Original idea by Jodi Herron:
My inspiration for "In their eyes" came from the image of the vitruvian man. When I saw the image, I immediately thought it looked like more than one person in a body, and that the man in the picture looked trapped like he was trying to reach his true destiny but he had to choose between two worlds. The "magic" of this show is the fact that the man will switch through different bodies of the people he hurt on his way to success to understand their point of view on life. The main character, Victor, is a man struggling to find himself when he has a strange dream after a talk with his girlfriend, Kiara, about his bad habits in the way he treats people. In this dream he switches bodies with many people he's crushed throughout his aspirations to be at the top of his career, he then realizes the suffering he's caused these people and in the end changes his ways. Kiara, you eventually find out is the key to unlocking who he really is, and in the end saves him from himself. This show mainly uses the elements of having an open mind about the world around you, and that there isn't just one way of seeing things, hence the name of the title "In their eyes." Through Victor's experiences he realizes he can't just go through life only worrying about himself because that could eventually be the end of his success; he learns that looking through another persons eyes could ultimately be the key to your life's goals.
