Dear Mr. Jones,
Yoda once said to Luke, “ No. Try not. Do… or do not. There is no try.” Setting goals is how you can try to achieve something you haven’t before since goals require a lot of determination and willpower. The significance of setting school objectives is that it propels you to enhance what you didn't do the prior year in which accomplish something all the more satisfying. In spite of the fact that it is a coveted result, numerous individuals try to accomplish those outcomes; your own school year objectives is best comprehended as an aspiration towards another school year; this is on account of its aim to persuade us to achieve our cravings for a superior school year.
My personal goal for this school year is to become more disciplined and be able to manage my time for school. I need to be more disciplined for my future homework, tests, essays, etc to know to get my assignments done with by the due date. While for managing my time especially for studying, homework, family time, sports, and other activities outside school. Managing my time is also always been my biggest goal to improve upon since managing your time is the source of doing well in taking two or more AP classes.
As for my academic goal for this 2015-2016 school year is to prepare and work hard for all my AP classes I’m taking this junior year. Over my two years going into high I was always told that your junior year is one of the hardest years out of the four in high school. Since as a freshman and sophomore year you only get one AP class, but when coming from sophomore going to junior it jumps from one AP class to three to five AP classes. In which to work hard and prepare for the AP classes and their AP exams.
Lastly, my goal in regards for this English year is to improve upon my reading and writing skills. Like growing up, I use to be a strong and lover of reading but over time I grew away from it in which making me think reading was boring and stupid. Until last year, during Mr. Lapp’s class in which he explained that reading helps improve your writing skills. In which he started on Monday’s, Wednesday’s, and Friday’s we would read in class for about fifteen to twenty minutes.
The importance of setting goals for the year is it drives you to improve yourself the way you didn’t in the past. Regardless of the way it is pinned for result, a great deal of people are committed into finishing what they started. Your own particular school year goals is best grasped as a yearning towards another school year; this is by virtue of its intent to convince us to accomplish our desires for a predominant school year. All in all, your personal school year goals help you make, especially for me, become more disciplined and better at managing time towards school, family, etc. Furthermore, it also prepares me for all my AP classes coming up for the rest of my junior year in high school. Finally, improving my English skills through reading and writing more in AP Eng Language and Composition. Qui-Gon Jinn once said to Anakin, “Always remember, your focus determines your reality”. Setting goals help built a focus to help strive for that achievement; this is so that if you aren’t focus on the task ahead then you will lose balance from that objective. Like for me playing basketball was hard while having to also focus on school but when some of my grades dropped. It made me realize that I wasn’t focused on school enough making me quit the sport I love most.
