Learning some history about each group as far as their bloodlines and their treatment by others throughout history and still today, has opened my eyes a little. Finding out about each racial group has helped me gain a better understanding of why some groups take the point of view that they have, it has also given me a broader sense of responsibility as far as being able to get along with other ethnic groups. I have a better understanding of these races backgrounds in education, lifestyle.

I really didn't learn anything new about my own cultural history. Most of what was talked about I had already been exposed to in some way, shape, or form. However speaking about my particular race in general and how far we have progressed is still debatable since up until about 40 years ago there was still major violence directed towards people of my race.

As we gain more and more immigrants in the United States it will be an ever changing view, and it would be in our best interest to get ready. So as we move forward we will definitely see a more diverse country which will be a good thing, hopefully race relations will improve and everything won't keep being such a "black & white issues every time we turn around.

We all have to be open minded and be willing to accept and acknowledge the things that make sure different from one another, even though we not understand or agree with them, we have to put past differences aside and grow as people in general. Learning a little background on these racial will help more than it will hurt.
