Robert Service put a lot of thought while he was writing "Your Poem"; this poem is a masterpiece in every aspect. Robert defines that life is beautiful if you look at it in the right way. Service states, "I'm but a prompter at the best... 'Tis you who make them alive." (Line# 9,12) Humans can do the impossible as long as they have the right mindset. Robert implies that he is only a prompter and that we as a community, as a person can make it happen, people have the opportunity to achieve great things when they dedicate the time and hard work that the goal deserves. Service also stated, "Yours is the beauty that you see in any words I sing;"(17,18) Robert had a good perspective of life, but he wanted for people to realize that everybody's perspective is different and that nobody has the wrong perspective. Everybody has their own life's and their own vision of reality for some its better than others but they all lead to the same place. People good or bad have to make the most of their life no matter the situation their in, they always have to try to make things better. The sentence of the poem that affects people the most is, "The poem is yours."(24) People have tried to explain this many times but all come up with different answers. This sentence take people back to the way they look at things, to a lot of people this sentence means to make your own life don't live as a puppet, be original, and always try to make things better by having the right mindset.
Robert Service had the right mindset in life and always tried to make things better by motivating people to look up and keep going.
