Sexual harassment in the workplace is both wrong and a violation of one rights. Sexual harassment on a person or person's is a violation of one's personal space and against company policy. All employees should be made aware of the rules on sexual harassment and their consequences. According to most companies handbooks all employees should be made to attend a one week seminar on sexual harassment in the work place. All employees should be made aware of their rights and have no fear when it comes to reporting any type of sexual harassment to management. Finally all employees whether male or female should be made aware that sexual harassment in the work place has a zero tolerance policy and will be dealt with swiftly and fully.
When it comes to sexual harassment most companies have a zero tolerance policy to deal with those that are doing the sexual harassment. But then there are some companies who turn a blind eye and a deaf ear to the complaints of employees who report sexual harassment claims. All employees should be made to fell safe when it comes to reporting sexual harassment. They should know that it is not right for others to take advantage of them. Companies should have a policy set in place to deal with such tasks as looking into sexual harassment claims. For example they should have a board of inquiry staffed to check and make sure that even the higher bosses are abstaining from such activities as sexually harassing their secretaries. With any company sexual harassment should be considered a instant firing and be dealt with immediately.
