Social Network Advertising
This assignment is very interesting. Social networking is so important to people these days. It provides a way for them to keep in touch with people they have known three days or even thirty years. I looked at businesses that I myself have followed and what they do on their social networks that keep me coming back as a customer.
The first business that I am going to discuss is Epiphone Guitars. I found them on Facebook while shopping for a guitar. Now, I am completely thankful for that. They use Facebook for contests and announcements of new guitars and special editions. These are all things I would not know about unless I visited their webpage constantly. Which is inconvenient. I like what Epiphone is doing with their Facebook page. What would be really cool is if they offered promo codes to their Facebook fans.
The second business that I chose was CoastalContacts.com. They have used Facebook as a big part of expanding their business. They offer a free pair of glasses on certain days at certain times. Who doesn't need a free pair of glasses? I got a free pair and now have 3 pair for my family from them. They offer promo codes all the time to save on your glasses. They have mastered Facebook advertising.
The third company that I chose is a lot of small business friends of mine. You know the ones that every post has to do with their business that has nothing that I can use. Like, they do things like run real estate businesses in the town I grew up in and I have no interest of ever living there again. These people are annoying and I would NEVER use them if I needed something they offer because they have annoyed me.
