The Floating Restaurant
Business Description
Our idea of an enterprise in Oman is a restaurant located in the sea which can be called as the floating restaurant. We choose this idea for a couple of reasons such as:
* Beaches in Oman are not yet exploited or utilized.
* The restaurant will attract both Omanis and tourists.
For the startup we will need to get the permission from the ministry of commerce and industry. We will then need to find a location for the business and set it up. Then we will need to get in an expert chef and a well trained workforce. The advertising will be done by word of mouth for the start.
The restaurant will be located in a popular place in Muscat on the beach. The idea is to give each customer a very nice view. Some VIP rooms will be set up directly in the sea and the customers can watch the sea life as they have their meals. The design of the restaurant and the interior design will be done by a consultant.
The restaurant will serve seafood (mainly), vegetarian meat and chicken as well as deserts and non- alcoholic drinks.
The customers will be able to choose which kind of fish they would like to eat from an aquarium. All fish will be fresh and caught on the same day. The price will vary from day to day depending on the market price.
Customers will range from business people who have a lunch meeting, tourists, locals and we will focus on seminars for companies and annual lunches or dinners for large companies. We will also focus on dinners for birthday parties and anniversaries.
