GENESIS:
The Earth was made and everything followed. The grandeur of God has been the vital mechanism in the creation of two magnanimous things: the man and the woman. Since I’m not yet born, knowledge about what is happening in our sophisticated world has never been part of my life. Until such time, my parents had an opportunity to create a wonderful being, a precious gift my parents could ever have – my existence.
My mother, Virginia Dato Bucio and my father, Edgardo Anor Bucio, had my first two siblings and they’re both female. But my father wanted the other way around, a male perhaps. And the long-wait has come to an end. I was, then born on February 25, 1998 at Chinese General Hospital near Manila North Cemetery. Since, my second sibling underwent Caesarian operation; I was also in Caesarian operation. Moreover, I am the youngest among all my siblings.
As time passed by, my physical, emotional, spiritual, and intellectual being grew. The childish act I used to live with was eventually changed to a mature one. In line with that, I started my education from a school which its name has a meaning of “And God said, Let there be Light and there was Light” (Fiat Lux Academe) and I finished my pre-school, grade school, and high school years in the same academe. In fact, I graduated with highest distinction and it molded me to be an achiever in all of my endeavors. That’s how I showed my loyalty to my alma mater.
Before I enter college, I have so many most unforgettable and memorable experiences which I can’t and will never be forgotten in my entire life during my childhood and high school years. In my elementary days, it was, I was announced as the First Honors of our batch which made me shocked and insane because I never thought that I would be so. In fact, I was not the expected one. With that, a miracle for me had happened. It tremendously strengthens my faith to God. While on my high school years, it was the coming of my father to Philippines after staying in Saudi Arabia for almost 10 years. It was the first time I met him in personal. Coincidentally, it was the month of my Recognition Day. So, he was the one who hanged the medals for me. Such experiences will indeed, forever be cherished until the last breath of my life.
EXODUS:
“In every life problems, there is always a solution.” This quotation has been the key for me to hold on to all the struggles I’ve encountered in life. I hate to admit it but unfortunately, we struggled for money to the point we owe a huge debt to our neighbors just to provide our daily needs. We used to bear promissory notes just to take our exams. And worst, we need to sell our house to pay our tuition fees.
Likewise, one of the struggles that made me cry was when my eldest sister went abroad just to gain money in providing and fulfilling all the necessary needs of the family particularly our tuition fees since I and my other sibling will now enter college. Though I don’t say “I love you” or show my appreciation and love frantically but deep inside, it silently killed my soul. I hate being apart to any member of the family. I have nothing to do but to accept the reality that life is life. It has ups and downs. But still, we worked as one and I strongly hold on because I know God is there to help and guide us to surpass all our problems in life, may it be simple or complex.
PROPHETS:
After all my problems, there are people who always there for me to help me wipe out the fears, problems and pains. One of them is of course, God. Though I don’t see him personally, but the presence of him is enough for me to know that he is there, bestowing me wisdom to make right decision in times of my dilemmas. Helping and guiding me to walk on the right path towards success.
Virginia D. Bucio. The woman I loved the most. I can open up my personal problems to her. She’s always there for me in all of my activities in school. She’s considered as a shoulder to lean on in times of my darkest grudges. A selfless woman who unceasingly gives her support and cheer me up every time I fell down. And what I liked the most is that, she never forgets to make me milk before I go to bed. The best mother I ever had.
Patty Shawn Edgie D. Bucio. Even though we are not close, but still she gives a big help to me. My parents do not have enough money to pay my miscellaneous fees so she carries to fulfill my educational assistance. Right now, I don’t think any more of it because I know she will help me with my education.
Problems will always pave its way to the lives of many people. But all our problems will be solved with the help of the people around us.
WISDOM:
Never Stop Dreaming
You said to believe don't have any regrets
Follow your dreams, not other steps
Near the end now still a smiling face, a few last spoken words.
"Every story must come to an end,
now don't you weep when I go to sleep for It’s my time, you keep going”
This certain lines from the poem of Sammie Wells made me realized that dreaming and dreaming is a great thing for it pushes you to achieve what you want to achieve in life. Adversities are not a hindrance for you to stop dreaming and achieving your goals in life but rather it is a challenge. As long as you have perseverance, determination and faith in God, nothing is impossible to achieve. Keep going and live the life to the fullest!
