Communication is really important and people use it all the time. I don't really know why we have to communicate with everyone but we do and we all do it in different ways. there are people who use their hands to speak and there are people who use other means. We have different languages that we use to speak as well as accents that influence how well people can understand us. We use many means of communication too such as: Face to face, phone, email, text messaging, body language, sign language, codes, letters, television, radio, and several others. These are all important because they make up the way that the people in our world talk to each other. Communication brings on understanding to what is going on around us. Also, communication has changed drastically over time. We went from having telegraphs to being able to call someone with a press of a button and text people so we don't even have to speak. Things are changing and some disagree on whether or not all of this is for the better. Personally, my feelings are that communication is necessary but I don't agree that we should conform to doing things the way society tells us we should. If we don't use the best suited word in a situation or don't have a large vocabulary then society seems to tell us that we are not well educated or mature or smart when it is not about that at all. Who has the right to tell us what words mean what and what we have to say in certain situations? If someone understands what we said even if we don't use the exact "appropriate" words that a scholar might in turn use that doesn't make us ignorant or immature and also it doesn't mean that we are doing something wrong because if we are understood then I don't feel it matters what words we use.
