The strategies the companies are using in the case study example are exactly what the workers of today are looking for. Along with the basic benefits that companies must apply (health etc), going the extra mile in these cases is just what is needed in maintaining longevity and loyalty from their employees. Human resources management is the responsible party for ensuring that most specific functions are working correctly; onsite child-care, onsite nurses, unlimited sick leave are just some of the options these companies provide that need to be managed by the human resource management team. They probably need not worry as much as other organizations as far as the tumultuous turnovers rates and orientation costs that most business have to deal with as once an employee has found a way in it is highly doubtful they are going to want to leave any time soon. It doesn't say what the pay rate is to work at a company like that, but it can only be imagined that they don't rely on the perks alone to keep employees happy. It can be assumed the pay pretty much matches what the workers do and that, in combination with the various benefits, is a strategy that can ensure a successful business all the way around. These various extra benefits are magnificent motivational and hiring tools that must draw people to these companies giving them a vast amount of qualified applicants to go through to be sure they have the right work pool on hand at all times. This too is a helpful strategy the company has employed to beat out other companies for highly qualified and dependable workers.
