Raisin in the sun is a play written by Loraine Hansberry , and " I have a dream " is a speech protested by the renowned African rights activtist Martin luther king jr. These two remarkable works of literature that shows the African Americans struggle to overcome prejudice and fulfill their dreams like any white man. Both the speech and the book were pressed at the time when when the prejudice against the black men were at its peak. These two pieces of literature were released at the right time and left an enormous amount of impact at the public. To substantiate the point, Raisin in the sun and I have a dream are very similar to each due to the themes of racil injustice , socioeconomic discrimination and unity to full fill the American dream.
Raciial injustice was frequently addressed as the the theme in both these forms of writings. Racial injustice was agaisnt the African Americans from the white community. Dividing the two ethnic sects due to inferiority was a huge issue. In " I have a dream ", Martin Luther says "The life of the negro is still sadly crippled by the manacles of segregation and the chains of discrimination."Segration is also brought up by Loraine in Raisin in the sun.
