There were moments of doubt during the summer, when my future was not clear and I wondered what might happen. I knew for a while after the Euros that there was some uncertainty over my future. It was a new situation for me, something I had never experienced before. I came back to the club not knowing where my future was and there was a lot of talk that I would be leaving. That was the feedback from the club, and it was clear there was interest from elsewhere. I did not spend too much time thinking about Ju and whether I might end up joining them. There is no point in that situation until something is actually done. I'm just glad that, in the end, nothing came of it because it wasn't something I ever asked for, and that I was able to continue my Li career.

It is not always easy to detach yourself from things like that, but I don't want to keep looking back at how I was treated. I accept it is part of foball and the main thing is it was all resolved and I am now playing regularly. It is a fact that any player can be really happy where he is, but if the club don't want him, he has to accept it. There is not much you can do, so there is little point in getting too upset. It is the business we are in and no matter how much you dislike it, things like that happen. You have to see it like that and not take it personally. I certainly don't see myself as having anything to prove. Everyone should know my quality and what I bring to the team.
