Zahra: I don't believe in abortions

Michelle: of course you do you're only saying that because you're Muslim

2. Ad ingorantiam

Michelle: my parents said they are pretty sure you were adopted

James: if I were adopted I would know by now because my parents would have told me, but since I wasn't told that I was adopted, means I wasn't adopted.

3. Argument from Authority

Sarah: I was watching a commercial on TV and my favourite actress was wearing this new Chanel perfume I'm going to ask to get it for Christmas.

4. Appeal from final Consequences

Girl: I was reading in the paper that some girl was coming home from a party and they found her body in the woods she was raped and tortured, but I never go to parties anyway so that would never happen to me.

5. Argument from Personal Incredulity

Boy: This can't be true I answered the math question the exact same way as you did, the teacher must have marked this wrong.

6. Begging the Question

Girl: I know there is a day of Judgement

Boy: How do you know?

Girl: Because it says so in the Quran

Boy: why should I believe the Quran?

Girl: Because it was written by the followers of prophet Muhammed who is Allah's messenger.

7. Confusing association with causation

Girl: It was reported yesterday that some old lady stepped on a crack and later that day she was involved in a car accident.

8. Confusing currently unexplained with unexplainable

Gym teacher: we can't fully explain why most people in our society today are obese or why some people gain weight easier then others therefore we may never know.

9. False Analogy

Jack: Look Mary you're going to have to decided now, you either can afford to buy this Ipod off me or you'll just have to deal with not having to listen to music while long bus rides to school.
