Dear Administrator:

During high school, my world color was very simple. If I use color to describe my high school, dark blue can represent all my memories for my high school because of the dress code. In my view, the rules about dress codes were unfair. I did not like wear the uniform to school every day because uniforms take away a form of expression, deprive us of liberty, and cost more money than families might be able to afford.

The requirement to wear the uniform affected me deeply. I find that I have bad memories about studying in high school. Our school's uniform is very simple and old. Even now I have a bad feeling about dark blue. Since I finished high school, I have never bought the dark blue clothes because I am tired of this color. In addition, my personality was very rebellious during high school because school always requires us to do something. My parents said that I was a troubled child because I disobeyed my parents' decisions and my teachers' opinions. Why I disobey my parents and teachers? I did not understand that they required us to do everything their like. However, they were not asking what my opinion? In addition, children are rebellious during adolescence. I felt that the more they required doing, the more defiance I would. One time I did not wear the uniform; my teacher criticized me strictly and required me to go back to change my dress. I refused to change my dress into my uniform. Then, my teacher said to me: "If you don't change into your uniform, you will go back home." Then, I left the classroom without looking back. I liked to wear a dress because it made me feel like a girl. However, the school's uniform requirement took away this form of expression. Why should school districts try to make everyone look the same? Most supporters said that wearing uniform can represent their school, and it seems professional. However, we are students, not media to advertise our school. A lot of students do not like the school uniform because of its color and its old-fashion style. I remember students took off the uniform after school. They changed into clothes that they brought. Boys always changed into basketball or football clothing. Girls tend to wear dresses or shirts.

In addition, the rule requiring us to wear uniforms was depriving us of our most basic rights. If the school made us worn what they asked, it actually limited our freedom and only enforced its own opinions. When the school administer made students wear what they told them to, they controlled the students' freedom. Students had to wear uniforms go to school, but teachers could choose different clothes. Why do the
