Vietnam is a country of cuisines with a variety of receipts of specialties from the North to the South. Thus, from our ancestors' age, Vietnamese people have prided of their cuisines such as Pho, Tam rices, etc. Unfortunately, in modern lives, when urban sprawl in Vietnam dramatically increases and the incomes of people become higher, their eating habits changes. They prefer to use fast foods to save time and because of its taste, especially kids. We acknowledge that fast foods are very convenient and help us to have more time than traditional meals. Thus, more and more Vietnamese people consider it as their main meals. For example, KFC is the most famous brand in Vietnam with over 100 branches in Ho Chi Minh city. It means KFC has over 5 stores in each district and districts in Vietnam are small areas. Those stores locate near office buildings and schools so a huge number of officers and students come to enjoy with their partners or friends. Moreover, KFC has a special event that discounts 50% up to six menu set on Tuesday and it attracts more and more customers consequently. We can see from this situation that young Vietnamese people do not prefer to use lunch in their home. They only want to hang out with their friends and buy fast foods. This leads to the absences of them in their family dinners. Finally, fast foods degrade the culture of Vietnamese families and overshadow the beauty of Vietnamese cuisines.
