"Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life's coming attractions." is what Albert Einstein said, and he doesn't seem to be wrong so far. Imagination, competition, and people's interest and loss of interest stimulates, creates, and inspires ideas that attract us to the future. Obviously, there are limitless possibilities just from our imaginations, but there are many more possibilities and ideas that are birthed from the actual creation of our imaginations.
We have the Wii, PS3 interactive camera and Motion, Xbox 360 Kinect, 3DS, and smart-phone games, all very new and smart ideas that caught on quickly, because it has never been done before. Casual. These were inventions and ideas that tested the possibilities and interests of the consumers. Metal Gear Solid 3 on the PS3, for an early PS3 game, had beautiful graphics; everything was so clean and crisp it was "real". Much like the way television was when it was created. The gaming industry isn't a game, but an empire that will change how people will see and think about things. It is an idol to advance technology, a teacher that could educate the minds, an inspiration to propel the future, an increasing influence in a world where there are no restart buttons.
I feel that gaming is a way to receive instant satisfaction and a sense of achievement that is not quickly given in the real world. But with improving games, we try to close the gap between reality and the virtual world. With the realism of games 'coming to life' the line between what is real and what isn't becomes thinner. The advancements of games becoming more interactive will break barriers, and the futuristic head gear will not be just an idea anymore. In the future the game industry won't just be a surprising twist and turn, but will truly be casual,
