Breast cancer has become a very important and serious subject in the past few years. It has taken many innocent lives of women throughout the years. Cancer hits pretty close to home with me most of my family has had some sort of cancer. It's a very hard and sad time to see someone you love go through everything from the surgeries to the chemotherapy. The purpose of this report is to better inform you of and about breast cancer. I will tell you what breast cancer is, what symptoms to look for to better prevent it or catch it at a early stage, also how does breast cancer transmit, how to prevent breast cancer, and last is there a cure for breast cancer.
Breast cancer is a growth of cancer that begins in the tissues and also in and around the breast. Breast cancer is a disease in which the cells in the body grow and form in a very uncontrolled way. Cancer of the breast is mostly found in women but sometimes found in men.
Most of the time with regular checkups at the doctors and mammograms every year breast cancer can be found early. The goal of this is to find cancer before it starts causing symptoms. Many doctors believe that if women would take the time to do this that thousands of lives would be saved every year .
Symptoms of breast cancer may help you catch your disease before it becomes too bad and takes over, so it is very important to know these think and watch for them on a regular basis. 1- A breast lump or something that feels different from the other tissue surrounding it, 2- Blood coming out from the nipple, 3- Size and shape changes in the breast, 4- dimpling in the skin that covers your breast, 5- nipple that is inverted, 6- peeling and or flaking of the nipple skin, and 7- pitting of the skin over your breast. If you were to have any concerns I would recommend seeing your doctor.
How is breast cancer transmitted? Breast cancer cannot be transmitted in any way shape of form. It doesn't matter if you happen to touch someone that has breast cancer or being intimate with someone that has breast cancer there is no way for you to get it. The only way for men and women to get breast cancer is through heredity and the scientists are not ever 100% sure about that one. So there is no need to even worry about someone giving you breast cancer.
There are a lot of different way proven to prevent breast cancer. I will share with you some that are pretty important. Studies show that women who drink alcohol on a daily basis are one and a half percent more likely to develop cancer at a higher rate than those who don't drink at all. Scientist also have said that smoking at a younger age make you more likely to be at a risk for breast cancer. Also just by walking two hours a week doctors have found this to reduce women's chances of having breast cancer by eighteen percent. Breast cancer being highly heredity every person should be aware of their family's health history. If your aware that someone in your family has had breast cancer than you would obviously be more incline to watch for sign that you yourself might have. Check your breast every month studies show that women that exam their breasts monthly are less likely to get breast cancer and if they do get it they will catch it early and the treatment will be less intense. Keeping a low fat diet is also a key ingredient to not getting breast cancer. Studies show that women or men who are obese are more likely to have breast cancer.
