Assessment of Presentation of The Four Groups
On 24th of September 2012, my group and I were assigned to assess four groups doing five-minutes-presentation in my class. Two groups presented about beneficial hobbies, which means hobbies that can earn some money. Two other groups presented about job that can attract high school students. I have to assess them based on how good they do presentation from writing. Group 1 was represented by Novie, group 2 was represented by Nahla, group 3 was represented by Robby, and group 4 was represented by Candra. Each of them could bring friends to help them present in front of the class.
Candra's team was the first to perform. He and his two friends began the presentation quite not serious. They smiled and talked rather unclearly. They took their turns not in order and their voice are too small. But from what I got, this group said that becoming an entrepreneur could attract many high school students to join after they graduate. Being an entrepreneur is a job with small capital, free, unrestricted with any boss, and could creatively develop their ideas. My personally, it is a good idea to be an entrepreneur. When people get old, being just an employee will not be sufficient. When they do our own business, they can do innovation, compete with another brands, many challenges, many lessons that they can learn, being a motivator, and so on. I myself want to start my own business when I graduate from univesity. But I don't think high school students are interested in starting their business in such young ages. Most of them will think to work in the office, which are safer, because they will get fix salary each month.
Next, Robby's team started to present. Robby presented quite serious and spoke clearly, even though his words made the whole class laughed. Rico and Dannie also presented quite serious, but not too clearly in pronounciation. The team considered celebrity is the best profession for the high school students, since there are so many new celebrities who can be famous just in a blink of eyes nowadays. Being a celebrity gains a lot of money very quickly. They just need to have good appearance and they can be succeed in this field. Robby's team assumed by offering these benefits, many high school students will get attracted. I don't like being exposed as intense as the celebrities, which are full of gossips. Being a celebrity means your business is also others' business, and you have no privacy. You'll need a strong mental and readiness when wrestling with this celebrity world. Their presentation is quite accepted, because I think many high school students will be interested and tried being a celebrity, from models, singers, until the film actors. They don't care about being rejected in this business or not famous. The most important is they are attracted with the profession.
In my opinion, marketting is the job that can attract high school students' attention, especially in multi-level marketing. Nowadays, there are so many high school students participate in this multi-level selling. Example, Oriflame, Amway, CMP, Nes-V, Prudential, or resell other people's products. This kind of business is easy and really with zero capital. Many organizations hire some people to offer this system for students. They offer bonuses, prizes, and money. They are also told to recruit another friends to be a member of them. If they can recruit more people to be a member, more money or points they can get. This is a simple and easy job for high school students. My friend in high school has been selling CMP and Nes-V for quite long time, and now he can buy a car from his own money. He can do his job while he was still studying in
