Introduction:
In this paper I will write a memo I will act as the assistant Joseph Mirola, to the claims manager for Rocky Mountain Mutual Insurance Company. I will draft a memo to Zachary Evans in behalf of Joseph Mirola, which I will give reasons as to why they should keep their Fitness Center.
BACKGROUND:
Mr. Zachery Evans,
In behalf of Joseph Mirola, our staff of Rocky Mountain Mutual Insurance Company would like to thank you for hearing our views on why we should keep our Fitness Center. Out of our 250 employers, a large number of employees have shown significant progress in many areas since this Fitness Center was developed three years ago. It has an indoor walking/running track, a small lap swimming pool, with a state of the art weights and exercise Machines in which are free for all the employees. These options alone have enhanced our overall morale. I am aware of the million dollar cost of the fitness Center, but the employees seem so much more willing to be more enthusiastic and involved in our daily work functions. (By Jane Thomas, Mar 1998)
Mr. Evans you know, that there are no sport club facilities even remotely close to our firm head quarters. That alone, gives workers a positive incentive to exercise because; it is so convenient and readily available. Being in this remote location, in the next few years our company has envisioned an expansion of the Fitness Center to attract more young hardworking workers. (By Jane Thomas, Mar 1998)
This fitness center has shown to be main attraction during the day and even during lunch. My boss averages five days a week attending the Fitness Center. He either walks or swims before work and the sets the tone for the rest of the employees. As Joe's energy increases, our overall productivity has improved
since he involved himself to the Fitness Center. He has set the example that working out prior to work helps your overall work performance and enhances the moral in your work space. (By Jane Thomas, Mar 1998)
For instance, our section Claims Manager, has an invested interest in health care costs absenteeism. For the last two years Rock Mountain Mutual insurance Company employee's medical costs have dropped significantly since they have been participating in weekly exercising at the Fitness Center. Some exercise once or twice a week and others workout out daily. Out of the 350 employees, 62 of them whom workout once or twice a week, in which medical costs has shown lowered down to $300 annually which totals to $18,600 annually.
