John Dewey once said, " Education is not preparation for life; education is life itself."
Education is not only an ornament in prosperity and a refuge in adversity but my golden key to
unlock the golden door of freedom because one who opens a school door, closes a prison. I
have always been taught that not even the sky is the limit and my mother has taught me that
time and time again in her own life. My paternal grandmother has always had her own catering
business and restaurant and from a young tender age, business became a serious passion for
me. Additionally, in 2006, my mother started a vending business in which she made me a
major part of it by learning various aspects of the administration of a business and this further
catapulted my interest in pursuing business as a major in my undergraduate studies. One of
the most major reasons was being able to utilize the skill sets learned in business to my career
that I will like to pursue in corporate law. Business is a major that also allows you to develop
both personally and academically. By majoring in business, I will both shapen and sharpen my
managerial skills as well as vastly improve improve my negotiation skills while continuing to be
effective while also learning to maintain the proper balance of power and compassion. This
skill set will also allow me to utilize this skill in the legal profession as well as running my own
As I stated earlier, my ideal goal in life is to focus on a career in business and law. My
major is both vital and major to the career path and ladder that I plan to pursue. As a potential
college business business major, I will strive to be a tremendous asset to society, my clients,
and myself by holding myself obligated to use my talents in a constructive manner. Strategy
defining, business analysis, and client interaction are all aspects of business and skill sets
that I will like to learn in college. I want to both hone my skills and heighten my strengths
from interpersonal skills to problem-solving capabilities. Moreover, study of my current legal
