College Entrance

I've always been the one to lift people up when they fall down, help them out when they needed someone, and I've always tried to be the type of person who makes people smile. Where I come from, Leeton, Missouri, seems to be the smallest town. When I get ready to retire, looking back, I know I will have made a difference in people's lives.

Without my parents being on me constantly about my grades, and my determined personality, I wouldn't be who I am today. My leadership skills, personality, and determination have not only pushed me to be the best I can be, but I have also pushed my friends so they can show their full potential.

Being the president of National Honor Society, Student Council, and for the past three year's vice president of my class, I feel that I have accomplished many things and hopefully made an impact on some people's lives. I have taken on the project of contacting the highway patrol to talk to our high school about drinking and driving, and just the distractions of driving. In National Honor Society, we are going to be working with the Habitat for Humanity to hopefully create better homes for this town.

I have strong leadership skills that people admire. Sometimes they come off as bitter, but you have to do what needs to be done. My personality and determination pushes people to be the best they can be. I try to have fun, but at the same time you have to be serious, and most people respect you for that. I am the drum major in the high school band as well, and yes, I let the band have fun at times, but they have learned that when I get serious they have to as well.

My determination, leadership, and friendliness have all inspired people around me. I am an outgoing girl who is not afraid to embarrass myself; I will get up front of people and act stupid just to make them laugh. I love making new friends, and couldn't be more excited to push on with my life. That is why I have decided I want to go to Fort Lewis College. It's a new and exciting place. So as I get ready to give up work, I look back and see all the good things that I have accomplished to make a difference in people's lives.
