Hello my name is Cristi LeJeune I am from a little community called Mowata, Louisiana. I am in a same sex relationship, who is a friend of the family for 23 years now she walked into a party we were having and from that moment on we hit it off and eventually did our commitment ceremony on 10-10-10. I currently reside in Raceland, Louisiana but we are looking forward to moving back to my roots within the next year.

I am pursuing a career in Psychology for several reason, I was institutionalized from the age 15 to 17 in an out and from 16 to 17 I was order to stay in the institution till the doctor released me. I have been through a lot of hard times and learned to turn it all into a positive experience. I was arrested in 99 and 01 for simple battery and disturbing the peace. Four years later I joined the Sheriff department and worked as a correctional officer. I learned a lot from the inmates, and from working in the jail. I lost my job in 12-09 when I tore my rotator cuff and had to have 2 surgeries, but I am trying to get back in to law enforcement since I moved and my shoulder has heeled. My main focus in to finish with my Doctors in either Child psychology or Police Psychology. I want to be able to give the tools that I was taught while I was in the hospital. I feel I have a lot to offer others if given the chance.

I have used drugs, alcohol, and partied with the wrong crowd, it took me along time to see that. I walked away 6 yrs ago and never looked back. I still have the same friends but choose to not participate in there curricular activities. I look forward to working with the class and sharing my experiences that maybe related to the topic at hand.
