Dear Joe,
I am having a problem with the way my Human Anatomy professor teaches his class. My two biggest complaints are that he tests us on information he never discussed in class and with the way he words test questions even if you knew the correct answer you have no idea what answer he is looking for . So far this semester we have had three exams, on each exam there has been five to ten questions that contain information that our teacher discussed with his BIO 201 class not our class, BIO 160. Also, the way our teacher words his tests (he creates his own) is completely different from the way information is worded in the textbook as well as the power point presentations he uses for his lectures. The class average for each exam is always in the "F" range and I truly believe it is because of the way the tests are worded. Most of my other classmates agree that the way the tests are worded is extremely confusing and we all feel we would score a lot higher if the test questions were worded like the information is in the textbook and power point presentations. We shared our thoughts and concerns with our teacher but so far nothing has changed. I devote 3-4 hours a day to studying for this class and as of right now my overall grade is 82%, by the skin of my teeth. How do I get my teacher to realize that the way he is teaching is not effective?
