Demonstrative Communication

Communication in general is the exchange of messages, information, and thoughts between the sender and receiver. The gesture and behavior is to add more meaning to a message but sometimes it is to say less and still deliver a meaningful message. Like this two sayings; "First impression last" and "Dress to impress."

Demonstrative communication can be verbal or nonverbal, written or unwritten, and visual communication. Nonverbal and unwritten communication could be presented as a simple gesture like a handshake, a smile, a frown or any other facial expression, body language, tone of voice, a pat on the back, sign language and many more.

A pat on the back expresses many things one of them can be an express of appreciation to another person for a job well done, and for some it is a form of comfort. Sign language which includes the hand alphabet; it is very effective for the mute and deaf so they can communicate with each other and to others who understand the basic hand gestures. Other sign language includes thumbs up for okay, and the familiar single finger which says number one.
