ChemTech has kept a leading position in China and internationally with some of the best and high quality products, ranking within the top 20 in the nation for the majority of his products, and also recognized worldwide. They have very outstanding numbers, and rankings that ranks them very well in product quality and . The company status has an exceptional list, but has the potential to be even bigger. This company is a great leader nationally with ranks like being the leader on the productivity of agrochemicals, they are the 7th with their patents amoung the countries central enterprises, and It is the only company in China that owns the manufacturing capacity of ion-exchange membrane electrolyzers. Internationally this company is ranked within the top 10 in many categories. Some of these include the output of methionine which ranks second in the world, the output of organic silicone ranks third in the world, and the productivity of tires ranks first nationally, 15th globally. These are some of the many achievements that the company has gained internationally. ChemChina has opened production and R&D bases in 140 countries and has partnerships in 3 countries. In China, it holds shares in 10 A-share listed companies and has a total of 130 enterprises and 24 research and design institutes. At present, ChemChina has become a leading chemical corporation in comprehensive strength, R&D and innovation capability internationally, but there is much bigger target to reach. Being that they have such a great reach, equipment, capital, and power, there is bigger targets they need to aim. This is increasing their partnerships worldwide and getting more involved internationally. This company has prescence in over 120 countries worldwide, but there is is not much involvement seen geared towards long term globalization goals. The company mentions that their strategy is to get involved not only with the upstream corporations and countries, but also with the downstream smaller industries. They can do this by getting more involved in the development in third world countries by creating jobs in these industries. For their bigger partners they need to increase value for shareholders by getting involved in bigger projects mostly outside of their country so that they can develop longterm relations.
B. Create Internationally Capable Management Teams
ChemChina has a very large presence internationally, especially since they have location in 140 countries. This is why having capable management teams to work together towards the same goal is very difficult to achieve. The company has been working on internationalizing for several years, and the international prescence is a very big thing they have going on, but they have not touched the potential of the opportunity they got. This is because out of all these countries they only have partnerships with three countries, which is a great deal for many companies. But for a company like ChemChina that is one of the worlds lead producer in 6 sectors, this company has much more room to expand.
